JEWEL BROWN

Legendary Blues Jazz Artist

Jewel Brown has been a part of the music industry performing over 60 years. Jazz is what made her, but The Blues is her culture. Ms. Brown was viewed by many magazines, newspapers and other publications as the most Jazzy-Bluzy singer on earth. In the 50's Ms. Brown began singing on major stages that led her to an audition for Louis Armstrong Band in 1961. For eight years straight she was the feature female vocalist. After being on the road with Louis Armstrong, it opened my career to a lifetime of performing and releasing albums. Her memorable times as a vocalist were also performing with other world-known musicians such as; Dizzy Gillespie, Houston's Arnett Cobb, Joe Sample, Lonnie Hampton and many more. 2016 Ms. Brown was awarded a Proclamations by Houston's Mayor Parker, then Congressional acknowledgments by Shelia Jackson Lee (2015) and inducted in the Blues Smithsonian (2007).
